ABOUT LISA
I bring a toolbox born of lived experience and clinical excellence.
Lived experience. Clinical efficacy.
Meaningful change happens when people feel seen, understood, and supported.
Grounded in compassion, clinical excellence, and a deep respect for each person’s unique lived experience, I aim to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported as you navigate your journey.
My personal Journey
My personal path includes dyslexia and late-diagnosis ADHD, parenting neurodivergent children, and and deep personal insight into the complexities of identity, resilience, and difference. This informs my neuroaffirmative approach and my commitment to recognising each person’s strengths as well as their challenges.
My professional work has been shaped not only by training and clinical experience, but observation of others who have experienced similar struggles, misdiagnoses, and frustrations with the current medical model. I bring my personal and professional insight into the complexities of identity, resilience, and difference.
My experience & philosophy
My professional path has been shaped not only by my personal journey, but my desire to be in service to others navigating similar complexities. I am a qualified therapist and Neurodiversity Coach, with experience across clinical and community settings, spanning more than 20 years. In addition to my private practice, I support the clinical team at Relationship Scotland, have spent many years working with Women’s Aid, supporting victims of crime, and managing a surgical department within the NHS.
These experiences have given me strong organisational and leadership skills, as well as a deep understanding of high-pressure environments and the human impact of chronic stress.
My approach is relational and collaborative, informed by both current neuroscience and a genuine sense of compassion.
I’ll always move at your pace, creating a space where you can be honest, curious, and feel safe enough to explore what matters most to you. I believe people are not broken, but shaped by their experiences, nervous systems, identities, relationships, and the worlds they move through.
My work is grounded in care, compassion, and a holistic understanding of each person as a whole.
I value difference rather than deficit, and I support people to recognise their strengths, make sense of themselves, and develop self‑acceptance at their own pace.

My work is grounded in care, compassion, and a holistic understanding of each person as a whole. I believe people are not broken, but shaped by their experiences, nervous systems, identities, relationships, and the worlds they move through.
I value difference rather than deficit, and I support people to recognise their strengths, make sense of themselves, and develop self‑acceptance at their own pace.
I place great importance on safety, trust, and good matching, taking time to ensure therapy or coaching feels right for you.
My holistic approach gently recognises the connection between mind and body, integrating psychological insight with mindfulness, grounding, and regulation where this feels supportive, always led by your needs and choices.

My style is collaborative, compassionate, and holistic. I work in a way that prioritises trust, clarity, and emotional safety, recognising that building a strong therapeutic relationship online is just as important as in face‑to‑face work.
I work recognise the connection between mind, body, emotions, and environment.
Where it is supportive, and by choice, sessions may include gentle grounding, mindfulness, breath awareness, or regulation practices adapted for online work. These are always optional and guided by what feels helpful and accessible for you.
Sessions move at your pace, with time to pause, reflect, and check in with how the experience feels for you, with a focus on your lived experience and how your past and present contexts shape your wellbeing.
If you have questions about therapy or coaching, or are unsure if its right for you please feel free to be in touch. Taking that first step can feel big, and you don’t have to do it alone.
